Program Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer for a Program Today!
Heartland Family Service has volunteer opportunities for a variety of interests. We are willing to accommodate your schedule as we have opportunities during day and evening hours. Some programs even have weekend opportunities. We can work with both long-and short-term volunteers. However, many volunteer opportunities are fundamental to the program they serve, and ask for a three-month time commitment.
There are so many ways for you to volunteer for our programs. What are you good at–painting, landscaping, child care, cooking, crafts, organizing events, sorting donations, answering phones, teaching a class? Volunteers are needed to help kids with homework and assist with field trips for youth or seniors. Large projects like painting, landscaping, cleaning or moving can be scheduled for groups. Depending on your schedule, you can choose one-time projects or weekly or monthly projects.
If you have any questions or want to get more information on volunteering at Heartland Family Service, contact Laura Zachary at (402) 552-7418 or lzachary@heartlandfamilyservice.org.

The staff provides 24-hour supervision, crisis stabilization, an on-site school, a behavior management program, and so much more.
