Do you enjoy the company of smart women and helping others in our community? When you join the Heartland Family Service Friends Guild, you’ll make friends while you make a difference! The Friends Guild functions as an auxiliary organization and component of our board of directors to broaden awareness of Heartland Family Service and to assist with its activities. You can join as a member, do nothing else, and know your membership fee is helping our clients. Or get involved by joining a committee to conduct more than a dozen special events, youth groups, program projects and client support activities.
If you are interested in leadership, the Friends Guild Board is comprised of about 30 members who get involved the Heartland Family Service staff and programs, and make big things happen. Last year, this group raised more than $205,000 to support the activities and programs for our Ruth K. Solomon Girls Center
and Generations Center
, the Adopt-A-Family project, and the women and children in our Safe Haven
domestic abuse shelter.
