The purpose of our facility is to provide abused women and their children with a safe, supportive, and violence-free environment. The facility is staffed 24 hours a day and all services are provided at no cost. These women and children may reside in our emergency shelter for 6-weeks. After the initial 6-week crisis stay, they will have the opportunity to apply for the transitional program. The transition program has a maximum length of stay of two years provided that they comply with the guidelines of that program. To insure the safety, confidentiality, and well being of all residents and staff, we have developed some basic guidelines that everyone must follow. Volunteers are needed to provide childcare during group sessions and help sort donations.
