About HFS

The mission of Heartland Family Service is to strengthen individuals and families in our community through education, counseling and support services. This non-profit, non-sectarian human service agency was established right here in Omaha in 1875. The development of our agency parallels the development of the social work profession for more than a century. The success of our agency is due to the commitment and accomplishments of our staff.

Heartland Family Service is a member of United Way of the Midlands and the national Alliance for Children and Families. The agency is accredited by the Council on Accredation of Services for Families and Children, Inc.
