Heartland Family Service events give you an enjoyable, fun way to help others. Spend an entertaining evening with your friends at our Annual Heartland Family Service Gala, with plenty of options to support our programs and services. Enjoy a day of golf at our Safe Haven Golf Event while you support our domestic abuse shelter for women and children. Lay down your tips for the dueling pianos at Strike a Chord, and strengthen our services in Southwest Iowa. Laugh until you cry at our Comedy Night, and you will help the kids at our Jefferson House. Dance with the seniors at our Senior Prom. Or learn how ordinary families face extraordinary challenges and still offer services to others at our Salute to Families Recognition Program.

2010 Jefferson House Comedy Night
This annual event helps raise money for the Jefferson House located in Fremont, Nebraska. It starts with a silent auction followed by dinner, live auction, raffle drawing, and a stand-up comedian. 2010 Senior Prom
This event, sponsored by the HFS Junior Friends, is an evening of dining, dancing and fellowship. Join the HFS Senior Center staff, the Junior Friends, and senior citizens from across the Heartland for the Senior Prom!
Heartland Family Service Gala
Held in February, the annual Gala is our single largest fundraising event with an attendance of over 400. There are several sponsorship opportunities, which will provide great exposure for your business. The event consists of a silent auction, live auction, dinner and an evening of fun! Safe Haven Golf Event
This annual event offers a fun and enjoyable day on the golf course! Held mid-summer, the event offers a morning 9-hole tournament with an 18-hole tournament in the afternoon. The event has several different levels of sponsorship, which provide a great opportunity for any business. There are hole prizes, raffle prizes, and a car for that lucky hole-in-one! Salute to Families Recognition Program
Our “Salute to Families” event is held annually with two programs, one in Nebraska and one in Iowa. It was established in 1982, and recognizes families in four categories including Leadership, Community Service, Challenged and Successful, and Commitment to Family. It is a great way to acknowledge a family in your community!
