Edwards Subaru donated $19,143 to Heartland Family Service as part of Subaru of America’s “Share the Love” event, which raised over $15 million for charitable organizations nationwide last year.
Todd Edwards said that the dealers were able choose the organization they could donate to; and with a history of family and employees volunteering, they chose Heartland Family Service. It is important to Edwards Subaru that the proceeds raised from our “Share the Love” event stayed within the Council Bluffs area and benefits our local families in need.
Because of the generosity of Edwards Subaru and their loyal customers, Heartland Family Service is able to serve more than 12,000 children and families from eight locations in southwest Iowa. All proceeds from the 2016 Subaru “Share the Love” campaign will support our southwest Iowa programs, including the K-12 therapeutic school for students with major mental health diagnoses; support services and transitional housing for the homeless, particularly single mothers; professional mental health counseling for children and their parents; and community prevention education and treatment for those struggling with substance abuse and problem gambling. Edwards Subaru, and the entire Edwards family, are leaders in the community that make our life-saving work possible – we could not do what we do without loyal supporters like them. Thank you so much for this wonderful investment in the children and families of our community!
