To Honor Someone with Your Gift
Consider a Commemorative or Memorial donation. The person(s) you designate will receive an acknowledgement by mail that lets them know you are remembering them or their loved one on a special day: birthday, holiday, graduation, personal or public event, or as a memorial at a death. Make your gift an honoring gift in one of three ways:

Wish Lists
You can help by selecting items from the "Wish Lists" of our different programs. These items are either given directly to the clients or they provide a more comfortable or enriching experience for our clients as they participate in our programs and shelters.
Cost of Activities

$25 will help buy school supplies for a child at our Transitions Homeless Shelter.

$25 will buy warm winter clothing for homeless children assisted by the Pottawattamie County Homeless Link.

$50 provides budgeting and parenting classes for a client in Transitional Housing.

One week of food for one family that escaped abuse at the Safe Haven Domestic Abuse Shelter costs $50.

$53 will help a lonely senior laugh and eat and share stories at our Senior Center for a week.

$70 will allow a girl to attend the before and after-school program for a week at the Solomon Girls Center.

$75 will help clothe an abused child who arrives with virtually nothing in the Steve and Cheryl Wild Children’s Emergency Shelter.

$75 will also provide van transportation for the Senior Center so that seniors can socialize every week day and go to the grocery store once a week.

A gift of $413 provides a girl with fun, friendship and performing arts experiences for a whole summer in our Solomon Girls Center.

Our cost to protect a woman and her children for a month at Safe Haven is $614. But all services provided to victims and survivors are free.

The cost to house a troubled teen in our Children’s Emergency Shelter for a week is $825, providing intensive supervision, medical attention, food, transportation to his or her home school, homework assistance and – most important – consistent, respectful discipline.
