Heartland Family Service’s Ruth K. Solomon Girls Center is inviting community supporters to attend the second annual Miss Heartland Scholarship Pageant.

The pageant will be held at Omaha North High School on Thursday, July 28 with doors opening at 5 p.m. During the pageant, 19 contestants, ages 5 to 18, will showcase their exemplary talent.

The contestants will perform in a variety of different tiers that include: Miss Professionalism, Miss Fit, Miss Elegance, Miss Public Speaker, Miss Scholastic and Miss Talented. Special awards include People’s Choice and Sponsorship. Prizes will be awarded as follows:

Little Miss Heartland (5-8): Age-appropriate prize package, crown, sash, Solomon Girls t-shirt and school supplies.

Junior Miss Heartland (9-12): Age-appropriate prize package, crown, sash, Solomon Girls t-shirt and school supplies.

Teen Miss Heartland (13-18): One-time $1,000 scholarship to be mailed to the secondary educational institution of choice upon receipt of enrollment from the institution, crown, sash, Solomon Girls t-shirt and school supplies.

All funds raised prior, and during the event, will benefit the Heartland Family Service Ruth K. Solomon Girls Center.

 

EVENT INFORMATION

Day: Thursday, July 28, 2016

Location: North High School, 4410 North 36th Street.

Schedule: Doors open, 5 p.m.; show begins, 5:30 p.m.; closing remarks, 8 p.m.
